Board of Elders

Snowy Range Evangelical Free Church is a congregational church, which means the elder board is elected by the congregation. They are responsible for the  spiritual oversight of our local church body. These men serve as volunteers.

The “Free” in “Evangelical Free Church” refers to the fact that we are an autonomous body of believers. Thus, our elders serve an important function in our body, and we are grateful for their service. Learn more about each of the elders below.

Matt Grosinger

Matt Grosinger, Elder

Matt Grosinger: Matt has been married to Andrea since 1980. They are parents to daughters Gwen and Leah, and son Jesse. They are also grandparents to Lily and Bella.   Matt began living a surrendered life in Christ in 1983, and within that first year began a “bus ministry” and a junior church ministry at Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church for 4 years.  He started attending Snowy Range Evangelical Free Church in 1987 when it was located on South 3rd Street. When the church moved to 14th & Gibbon he began teaching Sunday School to kindergartners. He gradually worked up to Jr. High Sunday School while the church moved out to North 15th Street. He volunteered with the youth group ExTOL in 2003 through the transition into the SREFC youth groups Khaos and Kollide, which he is still involved with today.

Matt says, “I began working with youth as a new parent because there was an obvious need and I was interested.  After learning a few things my interest in youth work became my ministry focus.  I love to have fun so being around kids has always been a natural thing for me.  I love the kids, their openness and their brutal honesty. I look forward to serving for years to come.”
